Color pencil drawing of a small, faerie-like deer; where the antlers would normally emerge, there is a spray of blue forget-me-nots. The background is a muted blending of blues, greens, and golds, creating a hazy effect.

The Studio's Story

Hello and welcome to my quiet little nest of color and curiosity. I'm Lyra, and my practice is rooted in a love for visual storytelling and expression. What began as a hobby has blossomed into a living portfolio of my original artwork. Some pieces are quiet observations, while others are bright and bold. All of them are made with care and an affection for the living world.

Why "galloping crow?"

I’ve always felt kinship with crows, clever, observant, and never to be underestimated. (They also "gallop" when they run!) The word "galloping" captures momentum and freedom, a joyful dash toward something, like a horse running to greet its beloved companion. Together, these capture the spirit of my work: thoughtful but playful, grounded yet always ready to take flight.

Thanks for visiting!
